Everyone is faced with some form of adversity in their lives. Whether it’s a breakup, family challenges, financial hardship, mental health issues, or even social struggles, it’s easy to get stuck in a pattern of negative thinking that is self-defeating and can become debilitating for those who experience considerable stress over time.

It’s not uncommon for people to start looking for external solutions when experiencing challenges or difficult times – think of exercise and healthy eating as examples. While the external solutions may help alleviate immediate physical distress from the chronic stressors they face, most people struggle to stay motivated once life starts to return to normal.
